Who We Are
Evergreen Community & Support Services is a Washington State Department of Developmental Disabilities (DDA) contracted provider, dedicated to enriching the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities through comprehensive, person-centered care.
Founded by Sandra and Costan, Evergreen is built on a foundation of compassion, dedication, and hands-on experience. We bring a rich history of working closely with individuals who face developmental challenges. Our extensive experience in the field has equipped us with deep insight into the unique needs, goals, and potential of the people this agency serves. Striving for a commitment to fostering independence, dignity, and well-being is a driving force behind every service offered by ECSS.
At Evergreen, we are more than just a service provider—we are partners in helping everyone achieve a fulfilling life, tailored to their abilities and aspirations. ECSS currently offers various services including Specialized Habilitation as well as Staff & Family Consultation

Staff & Family Consultation
Specialized Habilitation Services, offered through DDA-contracted providers in Washington State, are designed to help individuals with developmental disabilities develop the essential skills needed to live more independently and engage meaningfully with their community. These services focus on enhancing the participant’s abilities in areas such as communication, social interaction, self-care, and problem-solving, among other life skills.
Key Areas of Focus:
- Daily Living Skills: Support in learning tasks like cooking, cleaning, personal hygiene, and managing day-to-day activities to promote self-reliance.
- Social Skills: Assistance with improving communication, building relationships, and engaging in appropriate social interactions.
- Community Integration: Encouraging active participation in community activities, volunteer opportunities, and social groups to foster a sense of belonging.
- Adaptive Skill Development: Customized plans to address everyone's unique needs, helping them navigate personal and environmental challenges.
Our approach is person-centered, ensuring that the support provided aligns with the goals, interests, and abilities of everyone. Through consistent support, we aim to promote greater autonomy and a better quality of life for participants.

Staff & Family Consultation
Staff & Family Consultation Services are designed to support the care and well-being of individuals with developmental disabilities by partnering with the people who know them best—their families and direct support professionals. This service aims to strengthen the network of care by providing expert guidance, problem-solving strategies, and tailored advice to both staff members and family caregivers. Our team works closely with you to ensure that your loved one or client receives the highest level of personalized support.
Key Aspects of SFC Services:
- Collaborative Approach: We work together with families, caregivers, and staff to develop customized care plans that reflect the unique needs and preferences of the individual.
- Expert Guidance: Drawing from years of experience, we offer professional recommendations and support on behavior management, daily living skills, communication strategies, and crisis prevention.
- Training & Education: We provide resources and training opportunities for families and staff to enhance their understanding of developmental disabilities and strengthen their caregiving capabilities.
- Problem-Solving & Support: Our consultants help address challenges as they arise, offering innovative solutions and ongoing support to improve the quality of care.
